Round 2 of the NWTC saw us facing the Wigan Nerd Shack team, with me facing off against Ryan with his Menoth. Again it was a fairly predictable match up of Vyros2 vs Harbinger, and with Ryan winning the first turn we got moving.

Everything stances and gets as far up the table as possible with the Idrians to the right and Forge Guard to the left.

I put down Covering Fire to prevent the Idrians from charging me, and push up the table under Deceleration.

More positioning from Ryan as he gets his tanky solos into contesting positions. He takes some shots into my jacks dealing minimal damage before Feating

Harbinger has strayed a bit too far forwards, so I think I have a pretty decent assassination on. I start shooting into her with the Manticores and Vyros before sending in 2 Griffons to finish the job.

VICTORY

-      Opponent wasn’t particularly experienced with Harbinger and a small positioning error ended the game. I felt that the match up was ok though, as I could have started grinding though his infantry pretty well whilst keeping others out of the game with Covering Fire.
-      Team won the round 5-0, so that was satisfying.
