Kolgrimma
is everywhere at the WTC. Time for another rep, this time against Gary’s all
Ambushers list. I go first.
Deceleration and run.
Gary
moves up, pushing harder on the left where I’m weaker and holding the right
down with the Raiders.
I move up
and take out the Raiders, positioning so that if Ambushers want to take out a
Griffon Gary is going to have to Feat.
Ambushers
come on, Kolgrimma Feats and Gary takes out 2 Griffons. Thankfully, being a
dead scenario nobody scores.
I have a
huge attrition turn, taking out all 4 Bears, 2 Champions and the Mauler. Vyros
Feats but has no Shield Guards. 0-0
Gary
looks for an assassination, but unfortunately for him a huge damage spike
essentially takes it off the table. Valka needs to get out of the way and so
charges the Aspis, and takes it out in 2 hits, allowing Vyros to advance into
range of 2 Shield Guards. Kolgrimma gets the Stationary, but Vyros is protected
from the Bomber shots, surviving pretty comfortably (we rolled it out as if I
had no shield guards, and I still survived on a decent number of boxes) 0-0
I start
playing an attrition turn before losing interest and shooting Kolgrimma to
death.
VICTORY
- I still think this is a good match up for Vyros, with the key being able
to send one griffon off to fairly reliably neuter a Bear unit.
- I am more scared when the bears deploy normally, as this allow the threat
to be projected a lot earlier
