Harbinger is predictably everywhere at the WTC, with quite a few taking an EI list instead of the standard. I got a practice game in against Andrew playing Greece’s list. I won the roll to go first.

With Decel pointless Vyros just runs to the centre of the table, with the jacks following.

Menoth forces move up, taking shots into me where available. Harbinger Feats.

I make a start on getting Harby down some health by putting attacks into the Errants, eventually removing her ability to Martyr. I kill a load more before switching onto the Bastions, managing to take out all but one. I take reasonable damage from Feat + Defensive Strike but have a pretty strong attrition position. I put Covering Fire in front of the rest of the infantry.

Andrew decides to bite the bullet and, after healing up Harbinger with her stack and objective/Hierophant, charges a unit of Knights through the Covering Fire, Martyring them when they die. This, on top of the rest of his attrition, ends up taking out quite a few jacks, but leaves Harbinger pretty low on HP by the end of his turn.

I can get an angle on Harbinger with both Manticores and Vyros, so choose to go for the assassination, successfully taking her out.

VICTORY

-      Vyros’ ability to switch up his focus is really strong into Harby, picking on whichever part of her army is most useful.

-      I don’t think this list is as strong into me as the Faithful masses version, as everything in the EI is within reasonable DEF/ARM numbers
